Bicyclist Fatally Injured in Collision with Driver on SR-133

Police and accident reports out of Lake Forest, California are stating a bicyclist lost his life early Tuesday morning after being struck by a motorist near the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and Laguna Canyon Road, also called SR-133. The California Highway Patrol did not mention who might be liable for the accident, nor did it release the identity of any of the parties involved.

A group of bicyclists were apparently riding together when a driver struck at least one of them, causing a violent bicycle accident. Witnesses of the crash called 911 and Orange County Fire Authority members arrived at the scene shortly later. After CPR was ineffective, the wounded bicyclist was reportedly transported to a nearby medical center under critical condition. Statements say the bicyclist has since passed away from his injuries.
